We stayed for a week in the Calpaisa house, which was pleasant. The owners, Elisabet and Rafel, are very friendly and speak some English. The house is quite old but it\\\\\\\'s well equipped and it has atmosphere. We stayed there in August and it was quite warm in the house, where not all rooms have aorconditioning. The rooms are not very large and very tall people should take care not bumping their heads against the low ceiling.
The house is in the heart of an old hilltop village 2 km from the coast called Sant Vicen de Calders. When you go out through the front door, you suck in the easy Spanish village life and meet friendly locals. On the terrace at the back of the house, modernity rules: the view is completely dominated by the highway. The noise is not too bad, but the view is not very romantic.
A ten minute drive will take you to the spacious beaches at Coma-Ruga, while Tarragona and Barcelona are only an hour away, so the location is quite good for day trips through Catalonia. I can also recommend the house for people who like road cycling: the area is good for making tours.
